Where you are

Shows your tile repeated, so you can catch edges that don't line up — while you're still drawing.

Click a tile in the working grid to select it, or drag to select a block of tiles (e.g. 3×3) — the editor above shows the whole selection as one combined canvas, auto-fit to view; strokes snap to the pixel grid and can cross tile boundaries freely inside the block, but stay locked inside it. Wheel to zoom in further for detail; Space/Ctrl/middle-mouse-drag to pan.

Load one or more PNG tilesets. Toggle each layer on/off; drag a layer or edit its X/Y to position it beside/below the working tileset; click a reference cell to open it as a side-by-side guide (in the Paint a tile tab), or hold Shift and drag to select a block of cells (independent size from the working block). Reference layers use the working tile size at load time. Wheel to zoom the view; Space/Ctrl/middle-mouse-drag to pan.
